Sunday 22nd October – **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch with
‘Emily’ – Sunny and mild.
What a lovely day, deep blue sky with a light breeze, warm too, usual
morning in the garden me exercising while Mag continues to pit her garden
to bed for the winter. Then with picnic packed we set off around 1.30 on
the bikes, as we had seen a lot of the sea lately we headed inland, down
Marsh Lane to Kingsfleet where we spotted three buzzards, the gulls and
crows were not impressed and were giving them a hard time! After taking a
quick look at the River Deben we continue onto our seat at the lovely
Falkenham Church to enjoy thepeace and quiet for lunch with stunning views
down to the river! Mag spots a line of deer by a small copse about a mile
away which entertained as while we ate as they could not make up their mind
which way they were going! Then back along the country lanes to Kirton and
then Trimely, down Grimston Lane to our tree lined path back to Felixstowe,
stopping to feed the fish on the way. Mag then headsup the Morrisons way to
home while I do the extra through the docks to the view point which is very
busy! Out the the old letty, across the nature reserve and onto the crowded
prom, past the pier and up Bent Hill and home, top ride covering over 17
miles:)
